Advanced Therapy Trials

Advanced therapies is a collective term for a novel class of biological medicines that are based on genes, cells or tissues and are referred to individually as a Gene Therapy, Cell Therapy or Antisense Oligonucelotide (ASO).

They offer ground-breaking opportunities for the treatment of disease and injury with the potential to improve clinical outcomes across a range of disease indications, including rare diseases, where there are currently no or limited treatment options available.

If your trial involves either a gene therapy or a cell therapy, the Investigational Product (IP) involved may be a Genetically Modified Organism (GMO) and so may be subject to additional considerations in terms of study set up and regulatory approval.   MCTC can assist you to navigate through these additional requirements so please reach out to us as early as possible.
