MCRI as Sponsor

MCRI Sponsorship is a requirement for all investigator initiated clinical trials here at MCRI. The MCRI Sponsorship Committee is responsible for the review and approval of application of trials applying for MCRI sponsorship, see the MCRI Sponsorship Committee Terms of Reference for more information.

To be eligible for MCRI Sponsorship your study must*;

·        Meet the definition of a trial according to MCTC187 Guidance | Clinical Trial Decision Tool

          AND

·        The Principal Investigator must be either a paid employ of MCRI or RCH,

          OR

·        Where the PI is not employed by MCRI, must at minimum hold an honorary position at MCRI

          AND/OR

·        Trial funding (and grant, if applicable) is administered by MCRI

* Where conditions above are not met, sponsorship may be considered by the Committee on a case-by-case basis.

Applications for MCRI Sponsorship must be made 10 business days prior to the next scheduled meeting date. These applications should be submitted to [email protected], following the process detailed in MCTC037b SOP | MCRI Sponsorship Application Process for IITs by submitting the MCTC007 Form | MCRI Sponsorship Application & Risk Matrix along with other supporting documents.
